Blanca was arrested and deported and taken from her 4 children by ICE a few years ago. Her sister cared for the children after the arrest which enlarged her family from 8 to 12 in just one day.  One year after the deportation, Blanca fled Mexico and pled for asylum at the border and was able to return to Pacific County with an ankle monitor.  Now she has a good attorney and has been reunited with her children.

PCIS volunteers transported Blanca to Seattle for check-ins with the immigration office and to meet with her attorney.  During the first few travels to Seattle, her children called their mother often crying because they are afraid their mother may not return again.  The separation from parents causes deep trauma to children.
